An Interview with Emily Kay

1. When did you first become interested in pursuing a career in business?

• I always have had many different interests in finance, politics, and entrepreneurship and skills in decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking. I focused my career on business because it drives growth and innovation, creates meaningful change, and impacts every part of how we live.

2. How long have you been in your present position?

• I started at my company in summer 2020 as an intern through my last semester of college. I have been in my full-time position since January of last year.

3. What is your favorite part of your career?

• I am able to learn every facet of real estate by analyzing new investments, working with legal counsel to close deals, entitling land through complex city processes, managing general contractors to construct new buildings, and assisting marketing and leasing teams to find new tenants. It is exciting to see a newly built building and how a tenant operates their business in it.

4. Who is your inspirational BEAUTY? (male or female)

• My mom is my inspirational BEAUTY. She is the most selfless person I know. She has dedicated her life to being a loving wife, caring mother and grandmother, and caregiver to many.

5. Where do you see yourself in the next 5-10 years?

• I hope to continue finding success in my career, have a family, and buy a house close to my parents.
