Shelley McCraw grew up as an only child in a small town in Western Kentucky.
Not having any siblings growing up, she always wanted a big family. Shelley married right out of high school and became a mother at 18. Although she attended the University of Kentucky, being a wife and mother became her focus—especially because she had three children within the first six years of marriage.
When her youngest started school, Shelley pursued her Real Estate license and joined her husband, who was a homebuilder, in the family business as his realtor. Life seemed to be going as planned until her eyes were opened when she volunteered with an organization that advocated for children in need of foster care or adoption. As a result, their family adopted two beautiful daughters, completing her dream of a big family.
Now, Shelley is in her 19th year as a realtor, serves in children's and women's ministries at her local church, and is involved in a local support group for adoptive and foster care mothers. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, decorating and renovating homes, and listening to podcasts on walks with her dog. Shelley has been married to JT for 30 years and lives in Franklin, TN with their youngest two children and Winston the Westie.
