An Interview with Marita Caley

1. When did you first become interested in becoming a missionary to France.

I remember receiving a prophetic word in 2003 that in another season of my life, God would call me and the man that I would marry to go to another nation.  I never had any specific nation on my heart, but there was just a peaceful resonance in my heart that I was indeed called to another nation.  My husband did his first missionary trip to France in 2011.  When he came back he was strangely quiet.  I remember one night lying in bed and asking him why he was so quiet.  Even though I had encouraged him to go on this trip, I was shocked when he told me that God was calling us to France.  The Lord was very gracious and patient with me.  He kindly helped me to become ready and to grow in my own revelation of the calling and the timing of it.

2. How long have you been living in France as a missionary?

We have been in France for 6 years.

3. What is your favourite part of being a missionary in France?

Discovering the beauty and the grace that God has put into the hearts of the French people.  When you get to know them beyond the initial abruptness, they are really servant-hearted and loyal people.

4. Who is your inspirational BEAUTY? (male or female)

I have been blessed with amazing mentors and each one of them is an inspirational BEAUTY to me.

5. Where do you see yourself in the next 5-10 years?

I see myself living in our own home in Paris.  Walking in the prophetic promises that God has spoken over us and over this city.  Making disciples, teaching, writing, planting churches, and going on many adventures with the Lord.
