Part 2

In following years, an American evangelist held an unprecedented week of meetings in this Middle Eastern country, teaching Christians in an auditorium outside the city where they were at. Although an overwhelming majority of the country was Muslim, these meetings drew more than a thousand people from all different nationalities. It was indeed a great blessing from God that the American missionary was able to get into the country. He was able to do this because the mother of a ruling figure in this country was healed, while in the US, through a prayer! 

Three days after this American missionary’s meetings ended, the religious police got mad because they considered the country a holy place for Islam and yet a Christian evangelist was able to enter their holy land to teach about Christianity.  They found ways to raid house-churches in the country that same month. One of these house-churches was the Christian gathering in the hospital where Jane and her Asian friends were. 

But a miracle occurred, the Lord confused the religious police in the middle of the raid and they began to argue with each other. Because of the confusion amongst themselves, they decided to let each civilian go home one by one, except the identified Christian leaders in the group at that particular time. They took the identified Christian leaders in for investigation and they were eventually deported. 

Despite the persecution, restrictions, and possible consequences, Jane and unnamed Christians continued the underground work by meeting together to study the Bible in their own accommodation. They continued praying and fasting together. God has favored Jane and protected her for the past 30 years in the Middle East. She has become a blessing to many souls since the time she received Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. 

Jane’s faithfulness inspires us to be faithful in every season and to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. To realize that God is still at work performing miracles for us. So let’s expect it!!

As the Apostle Paul writes,

God bears witness with

Miracle signs, and also

Wonders, and many

Diverse miracle powers, and with

Distributions of the Holy Spirit,

According to His will

Hebrews 2:4
