Today we honor the adoptive mother and the mother who who may be a “mother figure” to many. Biology is not a prerequisite to being. a mother. No, in fact may are referred to as “mother,” not because of blood but because of how she loves. We don’t know in the picture above if the child was adopted or not, but that is the point there is no distinction. So here is to all the kinds of mothers who so beautifully embody that “term of love.”
