Inspirations on “Gardening” (Part 4)

by Jody Senna

Each year offers me another season of planting and tending my little fenced-in wonderland, and by the end of each summer comes the blessing to enjoy the harvest my garden produces. This season of gathering is always a time of celebration, but picking the fruits and vegetables I’ve grown and preserving an abundant harvest takes time and effort. You might think that by Fall I’d be ready to move onto something more relaxing, but for me, there’s such joy in watching plants grow that I find myself already dreaming of what foods and flowers I’ll be planting next year. Isn’t that just like God? He promises us that there will always be time for planting and reaping (Genesis 8:22), and He uses every tiny seed we plant ( in a garden or our lives) to give us a harvest!
